Carrie Morgan was born England and still lives today.

She took up writing at college to distract herself from the science subjects she had chosen to study, and tends to be drawn towards the supernatural, dark or transgressive, though she dabbled in sweetness and light as well.

While she should have been writing her dissertation, she began to take her fiction more seriously and, with the help of some supportive yet critical friends, started to enter writing competitions - and didn't do that badly!

Starting to step away from the flash fiction and short stories she began with, Carrie is currently working on a novella, whilst nurturing ideas for some potential longer pieces. She began to have work published in early 2009, and is still getting used to the idea of being paid to do something she loves.

In her infrequent spare time, Carrie indulges her love for live music and stand-up comedy, wages war on the mounting army of moulted pet hair from her three cats and two dogs armed only with an aging vacuum cleaner and a broom, and occasionally manages to sit down and write.
